The Fashion Fiend recently caught up with blogger, Nadia of Nadia Aboulhosn. The fashionista dished on everything from where she sees herself in 5 years to her favorite fall/winter items.
When I stumbled upon Nadia’s blog I was met with a since of originality and passion so I had to find out more.
Check out the full interview below!
1. How long have you been a blogger? How did you get started?
I first made my blog in November 2009 after watching Paris fashion week. I didn’t start actually fashion blogging until around April 2010. I really was just inspired by the different outfits and saw it as a way to express myself.
2. What advice do you have for up upcoming fashion bloggers?
Always be yourself. Dress according to your personality and what you love. Don’t let trends or critics alter your opinion on what you think is fashionable or not. Try to do something different that everyone else is doing, you’ll get noticed faster.
3. What does fashion mean to you?
What doesn’t it mean to me? Fashion is seriously what I think about day in and out. How can I push limits? How can I break barriers. How can I meet my dreams and goals? It means every and anything possible to me. I go to sleep to it and I wake up to it. It’s a comfort zone, the only thing really solid in my life. I really live for it.
4. How would you describe your personal style? (Classic, Trendy, Vintage, etc)
If I could use any word to describe my style it would be bold.
5. Who is your favorite designer and why?
Elie Saab. He is pure genius. Everything of his is so feminine, elegant, and fairytale like.
6. What are your favorite trends for the fall/winter?
Vintage 1980′s sweaters and faux fur coats.
7. What fashion magazine and website can you not live without?
Website I cant live without would have to be my own blog. haha. I don’t know what else fashion wise I’d be doing without it. Vogue is my all time magazine though.
8. Walk us through a day in the life of a personal style blogger.
My days differ constantly. At night is when my mind is most creative, so I’ll put on music and stare at my racks picking out different outfits. The next morning I’ll go to work. After I get home, I always re-shower, make-up, hair, get dressed, find a location the outfit goes best with, take the pictures, narrow 200 pictures down to 5. After posting my style for the day, I stay on my computer for a good 3 hours answering emails and followers back. I barely have a social life because I’m so focused on my success. These next two upcoming weeks will be hectic so there wont be a normal day. I’ll be off to New York December 28th for a Seventeen Magazine photo shoot. So I have to pack, fly to NY, do the shoot, leave the next day, come back to Florida, then I’ll have to repack my luggage again because five days after I return home, I’ll be leaving to Los Angeles on January 3rd for an American Apparel photo shoot. Somewhere in between that schedule I’ll still find time to write back emails, comments, and take pictures to keep my blog going.
9. Fashion question. Jennifer Lopez or Madonna?
1980/1990′s Madonna. If I had to choose 2011 fashion, I would choose Jennifer Lopez.
10. Where do you see yourself/your blog in 5 years? (goals)
AHHH! I have so many goals for myself. Having my own fashion line, becoming a fashion icon, making the most inspirational list, inspiring people everywhere, but mainly being completely and entirely happy with myself.
The Fashion Fiend’s verdict: Nadia is a true fashion fiend. With her bold and super sultry style she is a wonderful asset to the fashion/blogging community and a great role model for women who want to make it in the fashion industry.
